January 9, 2000 marked the beginning of a local church family called Grace Chapel. However, the vision for this dynamic church was born in our pastor’s and his wife’s heart long before that. With over 17 years of youth ministry under their belt, Jeff and Debbie Greer stepped out in faith--joined by several others who believed in the vision for transforming lives in our community and around the world with the love of Jesus Christ.
Our first official meeting as Grace Chapel was in a local high school auditorium. Over 200 people attended our first service. We were off and running! Since then, we have grown to owning our own Ministry Campus facility of over 80,000 square feet and averaging between 650-800 people on Sunday mornings. God has been faithful to us and we are incredibly thankful for His provision and continued blessings. Over the years we have grown to have over 30 official ministries, a dynamic youth program and children’s ministry, and are contributing significantly to the development of an innovative missions organization called SSE (Self-Sustaining Enterprises—www.sseinc.org).
As mentioned above, God led us to a “campus” facility—formerly a conglomerate of manufacturing operations—that we originally leased for a year and a half. God’s blessings continued as we were able to purchase the entire campus which is located right in the heart of Mason. The campus includes a Worship Center, Ministry Center (offices), The Mason Food Pantry, a large home currently used for staff housing, and a 40,000 square foot building that we are currently renovating into our Grace Impact Center. In addition, we opened New2You Thrift Store in April of 2005—a Biznistry from which the profits are stewarded toward our missions objectives through SSE.
Many exciting things are happening here at Grace Chapel, and we would love for you to see for yourself! Join us any Sunday morning at 10am or 11:15am for our weekend services. It is a casual and friendly environment filled with people just like you!
